DETAILS OF THE NATIONAL INDABA

The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development will hold a National Indaba where all stakeholders within the legal services sector will deliberate on the draft legal services charter which was produced by the Drafting Team of the Steering Committee. This is one of the consultative processes in furtherance of the principle of inclusive participation.

AIMS OF THE NATIONAL INDABA

The National Indaba is aimed at soliciting inputs and comments from stakeholders, participants and the public on:

• pressing transformation challenges regarding the legal profession,
• the role of the legal profession in facilitating access to justice for all citizens of the Republic
• inputs into the draft legal services charter as a vehicle to facilitate access to justice for all, transformation of the legal profession and economic empowerment of HDIs
